Mayberry Garden

Property adjoining Washoe County Mayberry Park and Interpretive Gardens/Pinyon Design studio.

There is a small stage currently under construction, a grassy area of buffalo/blue grama grass, and an interpretive sign along the path that leads from Mayberry Park. Sometimes we tie a rope to trees on opposite sides of the river and "surf the Truckee" by holding onto the rope while the fast-moving mountain stream provides lift for the surfboard.

Our vision is to develop this site for recreation opportunities. The combination of Interpretive Gardens and Mayberry Park provides a unique opportunity. Ideas that have been discussed include a river cafe, professional offices with river-view terraces, a turf badminton court and summer league, a nature study area, and others.
